"How did it go at the apartment today?" Connor asked. They were in the middle of dinner and had been having a great conversation. Tillie was as relaxed as she had ever been, minus the uncomfortable burning in her bum.

"Quit squirming," Trey said into her ear.

"I would but my butt hurts," she whispered back at him.

"Good," he said.

"Hey!" She half frowned at him, poking a finger into his side. He grabbed a hold of it.

"New rule, no poking your Daddy," he joked.

"I don't think they are paying any attention to us," Hayleigh said.

"I'm sorry. How rude of us. What was it you asked?" Tillie turned back to their guest.

"I was instructing Tillie to sit still. Seems hard to do on a freshly spanked behind," Trey said.

"Trey!" Tillie blushed furiously.

"Don't be embarrassed. You saw me spanked earlier today," Hayleigh reminded her, taking a big bite of French bread.

"I was asking how it went at the apartment," Connor said.

"Oh." Tillie looked into her lasagna, a frown on her face.

"That good?" Hayleigh asked, concerned for her friend.

"Her roommate stabbed her favorite stuffed animal and left a nasty threatening note inside," Trey volunteered.

"Not Snowball!" Hayleigh exclaimed. Hearing his name, the live pup came running into the dining room, tail wagging.

"No pup. Not while we are eating. Go back into the other room." Trey pointed toward the doorway.

Tillie looked at him and burst into laughter. "Do you really think he is going to understand English and listen to you?" she asked him.

"I was hoping!"

"That might work on Littles but not on animals." Tillie giggled.

"It doesn't even work on Littles," Connor supplied. They all laughed.

"Trey says he is fixable," a hopeful Tillie said, bringing the conversation back around to the stuffed dog.

"I'm sure he is, darling." Connor agreed.

"Other than that, how did it go?" Hayleigh asked.

"Interesting. I've been meaning to ask you, Hayleigh, do you remember when Tillie got Snowball?"

"The stuffed animal?" Hayleigh answered, her eyebrows furrowed together. "She's had him since before we met."

"No. The one wagging his tail under the table," Trey answered.

"Oh! Tillie has been wanting a puppy for, like, forever. When we first met online, that was one of the very first things she told me, how she hoped to find a real-life dog that looked like her stuffed animal someday."

"I see," Trey said. "I also see that you are avoiding my question. Surely you remember then when she got him since she must have been very excited about it."

"Hayleigh, why are you avoiding Trey's questions?" Connor asked suspiciously.

"I, um, well, I..." Hayleigh stuttered.

"Well, there wasn't a single sign of a dog ever living inside that apartment," Trey said casually.

"Daddy! Enough!" Tillie said, elbowing him hard in the side.

"Excuse you?" His tone was firm as he held onto her elbow. "You may respectfully discuss any issue you have with me, but you may not strike me out of anger. I will not spank you out of anger. Do you understand me, little girl?"

"Yeah," she said, frowning.

"You were saying?" Connor said to Trey, never removing his gaze from Hayleigh.
